Pullins Team Leader, NETL Modern Grid Strategy President, Horizon Energy Group Mr. Pullins has more than 30 years of utility industry experience in operations, maintenance, systems engineering, training, and project development. He currently leads the nation's Modern Grid Strategy for the National Energy Technology Laboratory. He has been deeply involved in business and technology efforts of more than 20 utilities in smart grid strategies, renewable strategies, power system optimization operations transformation, RTO/ISO operational processes, and strategic consulting. He holds BS and MS in Engineering.

Joe Miller Sr. Vice President, Horizon Energy Group Mr. Miller has more than 30 years of utility experience in nuclear power, transmission, and distribution engineering and operations. As Vice Presidents of Engineering and Technical Support at Illinois Power ha was responsible for engineering, planning, project management and construction for electric and gas assets and acted as Public Information Officer for the nuclear program. He is currently a member of the Modern Grid Strategy team for the National Energy Technology Laboratory and has been involved in nuclear projects in Japan and RTO transmission projects in the U.S. Joe holds BS in Electrical Engineering and MS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois and is a registered professional engineer in Illinois.

Alex Zheng Research Associate Horizon Energy Group Mr. Zheng has been consulting with Horizon Energy Group since 2007, working in the areas of power engineering, power systems modeling, and energy policy issues for national labs, utilities, state governments, and other organizations. He has BS in Computer Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management from the University of Washington, and MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University, and is currently pursuing a joint-degree Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and a Master of Business Administration from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
